AudioVik 1.0.0 — a free music editor by DeeJay Alex
===========================================================
(Say it "Audio-Veek".)

Mix, edit and remix songs on a beat-matched timeline: beat matching and tempo changes,
loops, fades and crossfades, recording from a microphone, track effects, mastering on
export (WAV, AIFF or MP3), and AI tools for stems and vocals.

Windows version. A Mac version is coming soon.

WHAT YOU NEED
-------------
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- About 20 MB of disk space for the app itself.
- The optional add-ons need an internet connection to install, and about 6 GB of disk
space each. An NVIDIA graphics card makes them much faster, but isn't required.

INSTALLING
----------
1. Run "AudioVik 1.0.0 Setup.exe".
2. Windows may show a blue box saying "Windows protected your PC". That's because the
app is new and not yet signed with a paid certificate, not because anything is wrong.
Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
3. It installs just for you, so no administrator password is needed. Afterwards you'll
find AudioVik in the Start menu and on the desktop.

GETTING STARTED
---------------
- Click "Open folder" (bottom left) and choose a folder of music, then drag songs onto
  the timeline, or double-click them.
- Press Space to play and stop.
- Everything is in the menu bar at the top. Help → "Shortcuts and where to find
things" lists every shortcut and tool.

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
----------------
Two features use AI and are installed separately, only if you want them:

Stem separation — splits a song into vocals, drums, bass and the rest.
    Help → Install stem separation…

Voice tools — auto-tune, harmonies, vocal clean-up, the note editor and the AI voice
  changer.
    Help → Install voice tools…

A window opens and downloads everything (about 3 GB; nothing else has to be installed
first). When it says it's done, go back to the app and click "Check again", or close
and reopen the tool.

WHERE YOUR FILES GO
-------------------
- Projects: wherever you save them.
- Stems, recordings, bounces and voice models you add: in your Music folder.
To find one, right-click its clip and choose File → Show in folder.

UNINSTALLING
------------
If you installed the AI add-ons, remove them first: Help → Remove AI add-ons
(that frees several gigabytes). Then Settings → Apps → Installed apps → AudioVik →
Uninstall. Your projects, stems and recordings are kept.

PRIVACY
-------
AudioVik doesn't collect any information and doesn't connect to the internet.
The only exception is the add-on installers, which download software when you run them.

SUPPORT AUDIOVIK
-----------------------
AudioVik is free, and made in spare time. If it's useful to you, you can donate
at https://paypal.me/DeeJayAlex (or Help → Donate in the app). It's a thank-you, not a
purchase: everyone gets the same app.

LICENCE
-------
AudioVik is free to use, for any purpose, including making music you sell. You
may share the unchanged installer for free. It comes with no warranty. Donations are
welcome but never required.

Please only use voice models you have the right to use, and get permission before
releasing anything made from other people's music.

Full terms: LICENSE.txt. Software by others included in the app: THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt.
Both are also in the app, under Help → About AudioVik.

CHECKING YOUR DOWNLOAD
----------------------
SHA256SUMS.txt lists the installer's SHA-256 checksum. To check it, open PowerShell in
this folder and run:
    Get-FileHash "AudioVik 1.0.0 Setup.exe"
The long code it prints should match the one in SHA256SUMS.txt.
